Our Missionettes Program is on-the-grow! Girls’ and preschool boys’ lives are being molded and transformed more like Christ on a daily basis through the seeds being sown in the Missionettes program! The sponsors and helpers are truly exemplifying the Titus 2 principle by training up the young girls and boys in our church and community. The teams of remarkable women working together every Wednesday night are amazing! Traci Lytle and Janelle Casias sponsor the Rainbows club for boys and girls ages 3-5. Edith Michael is the Daisies Sponsor for Kindergarten girls. Denise Dail and Erin Hinton sponsor the Prims club for 1st/2nd grade girls. Our Stars club is sponsored by Raquel Vierra and Tami Neisinger. And our 6th-8th grade girls are led by Danielle Dees. Toni Melton coordinates administrative detail.

The Missionettes Program has a wonderful program with several events taking place throughout the year. Each February, our groups attend the Free Museum Day with their parents. This program is sponsored by the participating local Sacramento museums.

In June, our annual Father/Daughter Luncheon provides an opportunity for girls and their fathers, grandfathers, and/or significant male figures to have a special time of bonding. Our summer carnival is always a big hit, drawing several visitors from the neighborhood! Our Stars and Friends groups also attend summer camps and always have a great time with each other.

In September, our girls participate in a sleepover party, in conjunction with the National Missionettes Sleepover across America. Later as the holiday season approaches, each club participates in the Women’s Ministries Christmas Boutique by designing crafts and handmade items for the Missionettes booth at this event.

As the Horizon Coordinator for Missionettes, I am so thankful for my dedicated team of sponsors and helpers that meet each week to encourage, train, and equip the young girls and boys of our church and community.
