The mission of the Horizon Women’s Ministries program is to create an atmosphere that encourages, equips, and involves the women of Horizon Christian Fellowship to better serve Christ, each other and the community. This is done through acceptance, fellowship, prayer, discipleship and reaching out.

When we reach out to each other, all the other things follow – we are able to fellowship and pray with each other; we are able to foster acceptance and provide discipleship.

Our various activities throughout the year allow us the opportunities to reach out. We meet twice a month for fellowship and discipleship opportunities.

Friday Night Fellowship usually takes place on the 2nd Friday of each month. This evening features a potluck style meal, a short time in the Word, and plenty of fellowship activities!

On the fourth Saturday of the month, our Heart-to-Heart Breakfast Workshop features a structured time in the Word, with breakout group discussion, and a hearty breakfast available for the small fee of $3. The workshop materials are provided free of charge, and childcare is available. Heart-to-Heart begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends no later than 11 a.m.

We also have major events throughout the year that include not only our church family but our community and outlying areas as well. In May, we host an annual Ladies Luncheon featuring a Silent Auction fundraiser. In the fall, we travel to Mt. Hope Bible Conference Center near Forbestown, California, for our annual Women’s Retreat. In November, we host a Christmas Boutique & Craft Fair to help everyone get a head start on their holiday shopping. In December, we open our doors for the annual Women’s Christmas Dinner.
